STANFORD UNIVERSITY
OVERVIEW
Stanford Executive Education Design Thinking: From Insights to Viability is a 12 week online program in which you apply the Design Thinking methodology to a series of real-world applications, and internalize the concepts.
During the program, each participant shall select a real-life problem statement (Innovation Challenge) to work on throughout the course of the program.
Year: 2021.
Team: Design Thinking Students from 2021 Spring Cohort.
My Role: UX Designer

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Challenge: How might we help corporate Salesforce users import data into their platform?
Salesforce is the #1 CRM used by large corporations; however, it is very difficult for specialized teams – such as corporate venture teams – to import documents that follow industry specific structures.
PROCESS
Design Thinking is a user-centered way to create a successful product, service or process. These are the steps that we followed during the program:
Observe and Interview users to gain insights and gather data.
Saturate and Cluster: organize the data collected to create a Point of View.
Create a Point of View: the problem we will solve.
Brainstorming sessions where we came up with as many ideas as possible and then voted as a team on the ideas worth prototyping.
Create a prototype in Invision.
Minimum Viable Product: test and iterate.

SOLUTION
We created an import tool feature which is user friendly and will allow clients to capture, store and track data in one simple system.
The new tool guides the user through a simple wizard that allows them to structure the data so that it fits the industry requirements.
OUTCOME
What's next?
As part of the Hypothesis-Driven Innovation strategy, we need to design iteratively, which means to keep testing and gathering data from users in order to continue improving the product and achieve a user-centered process.
